It’s time for our weekly check in on our Happy Flower Company grow. This check in is happening right at the beginning of week 4 of flower. The plants are looking very healthy! We did a little bit of clean up under the plant’s canopy as there was a lot of growth needing to be cut away. Leaving things such as dead leaves and underdeveloped plant growth can only lead to disease and lower yields.
Normally, with hemp, we would be flowering for 10 weeks. Because of the current laws from the USDA around the legal thc levels, we have to harvest right around week 6 of flower in order to remain compliant. Thankfully through our research grows over the past couple of years we have learned to start our compliance testing at the middle of week 5. The crop you see here will go through the following tests. Pesticides, metals, microbial, potency and terpenes.
All of this gorgeous hemp flower is grown under Black Dog LED PhytoMAX-2 1000 lights.
